| In this topic, I will be going over the special positions that are available for members, both online and offline.
1. President (Dominic) 2. Vice President (Santa)
3. Secretary (Imani) 4. Treasurer (Patricia)
5. IE Captain (Kristi) 6. Debate Captain (Lan)
7. Administrator (Kristi) 8. Moderator (Krina)
9. Chief Editor (Cassi) 10. Associate Editor (Isabel)

| President:- Conduct club meetings
- Provide agenda for meetings
- Go over club business
- Attend all tournaments and competitions
- Be aware of students' needs at tournaments

| Vice President:- Carry out duties of the president when the president is absent to an event
- Assist the President in recruiting Members;
- Provide driving directions to tournaments
- Arrange transportation to tournaments (i.e. carpools, transit, etc.)
- Place bulletin announcements and publicize meetings

| Secretary:- Have each student sign in once they reach a tournament
- Create sign-in sheets for each meeting (starting September 2008)
- Keep all sign-in sheets for the school year in a binder
- Keep minutes at club meetings (time started, time ended, minutes total)
- Assist the Vice President in publicizing meetings

| Treasurer:- Monitor club finances and make reports to Officers
- Conduct fundraising activities
- Count money and make deposits after fundraising activities;
- Converse with club and coach about club activities.

- Monitor each student's progress in student's intended event
- Assist president with meeting agenda
- Review critiques with participants after tournaments

- Ensure that debate teams work well together
- Review ballots with debate pairs after tournaments

| Administrator:- Delete annoying or offensive posts
- Move outdated topics to trash bin
- Edit posts which contain offensive material
- Ban members that do not follow appointed rules
- Monitor team website

| Moderator:- Delete annoying or offensive posts
- Move outdated topics to trash bin
- Edit posts which contain offensive material
- Notify administrator of forum bugs

| Chief Editor- Write meeting logs
- Recognize and feature outstanding members and their achievements
- Take pictures of club members participating in club activities (tournaments, fundraisers)
- Keep memorable quotes, pictures, etc. from tournaments and meetings as needed

| Associate Editor- Create meeting logs if chief editor is absent to a meeting
- Proofread meeting logs as needed
- Take notes on tournaments (who won, debate topics, etc.)
- Assist historian in taking pictures at tournaments
